D-Ray does a great job detailing the carb rebuild in a 300. When rebuilding the carb, I'd suggest setting the mixture screw at whatever the standard is, something like 1 3/4 turns out from lightly seated, and go from there. You'll want to verify that number to be sure it is correct. D-Ray also does a great job showing how to set the mixture.
